Funeral Blues

I enjoyed reading the poem ‘Funeral Blues’ because it describes the speakers feelings very well. You can really understand how he must feel right now. He/ She absolutely misses the dead person. And shows that by showing what the person meant to her/him: that he was everything: the north, the west, the noon, … . This listing has a big influence on how the reader feels, I think. It seems as if it is so much, as if it is everything that is now missing in his/her life. The author just knows how he has to use language to cause certain feelings.
