Suicide's Note - Langston Hughen

The calm,
Cool face of the river
Asked me for a kiss.

I really like the poem "Suicide's Note" by Langston Hughen. It's actually only one sentence, but really well written. It’s really impressive. The three lines could describe everything, but only the heading tells you what it really is. I get this picture in my head of a man standing on a bridge, looking down, thinking about if he should really do it, it's dark and cold. To describe a suicide with a kiss and a face doesn't really fit to the seriousness of the topic. But these words make the whole scene quite calm and describes a suicide in a way as if it's not that bad, serious or sad.
